TuffSkin, Your Etching and Staining Countertop Protection

TuffSkin Surface Protection to Conduct Demos in Booth #4969 During May’s HD Expo

LAS VEGAS, NV

TuffSkin Surface Protection will show its cutting-edge stone protection laminates May 2-4 at the International Interior Design Association HD Expo at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

In an interactive booth at the convention, the Las Vegas-based company will display and demonstrate its products, which protect stone countertops, tables, bars and vanities and have improved housekeeping and maintenance in commercial settings — hotel rooms and lobbies, restaurants and bars — and private homes since 2007.

Company Executive, Frank Friedlander, invented TuffSkin to solve the age-old problem of etching and staining on marble for a hotels engineer’s tables at a busy restaurant in 2007. TuffSkin was developed over two years and is designed specifically for stone protection. The company now serves hospitality, commercial and residential clients across the United States, Canada, Australia and Mexico.

Since the 2017 expo, TuffSkin has added Jessie English, a new Las Vegas sales representative. The company has expanded domestically (into South Florida and New York-New Jersey) and internationally (into Thailand and Singapore). The company is expanding across the United States and welcomes WestCan Marble as their Canadian Distributor

TuffSkin President Lelia Friedlander said the HD Expo presents her company with fresh opportunities every year.

“We have been participating since 2011 and love the HD Expo for the innovative and creative opportunities; our desires to support each other transcend dollars,” she said. “All the right people are there to experience something new and exciting. We have the chance to collaborate, meet attendees and build relationships.”

Friedlander added that TuffSkin always brings something fresh to each HD Expo, such as a new dealer or a new look to the company booth. The ultimate aim, though, is the same: spreading the message about TuffSkin’s uses for top-flight stone protection.

TuffSkin’s acid- and stain-free formula increases durability and longevity on marble, onyx or travertine by eliminating etching and staining caused by alcohol, coffee, water, wine, juice, oils, lemons, perfume, toothpaste and makeup. TuffSkin also tolerates heat over 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Because TuffSkin’s proprietary stone laminate is liquid impermeable but gas permeable, it lets stone “breathe.” It disappears on surfaces and brings out the stone’s natural beauty. TuffSkin’s original Gloss is perfect for polished stone while TuffSkin’s newer Satin complements honed stone surfaces.

The company’s Gloss product won the Surface/Coating Systems Award in the Applied Finishes and Materials category in the 2012 International Interior Design Association’s Hospitality Design competition.

TuffSkin has served high-profile companies including Hilton Hotels and Resorts; Marriott International; Caesars Entertainment Corp.; Sands Corporation and MGM Resorts International. The company recently completed projects at a major Las Vegas venue and in San Antonio, San Francisco and New York City.
